Physiotherapy treatment involves therapeutic exercise to improve strength, range of movement and endurance and to correct posture and muscle imbalance in conjunction with manual therapy, advice and education.
The initial appointment aims to establish a full history of your condition and discuss other factors also affecting it. We will set goals and discuss evidence-based treatment options. The first session will also include treatment and an exercise programme (45 minutes).
The Full Natal examination includes a pelvic floor assessment, rectus divarication check and will include evidence based treatment and an exercise programme (1 hour).
The Natal assessment is the same as the full natal programme without the pelvic floor assessment (45 minutes).
Follow up sessions will incorporate our treatment plan (30 minutes). The number of sessions will be discussed at this stage depending on your condition and assessment findings.

"Many thanks for appearing on GMTV on Wednesday morning in 2007.
You did a great job of representing the physiotherapy profession. Everyone at the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) were impressed!
Many congratulations too, on landing your first job! Fantastic news!
Phil Gray, chief executive of the CSP asked me to pass on his thanks and congratulations to you too.
With best wishes,
Jennie, Becky and Prabh (CSP Press Office)"
"Nicky has been treating my daughter, who is an elite gymnast on and off for some time now with various injuries. She is a highly professional physiotherapist who I would have no hesitation in recommending. She has a very approachable manner and a warm friendly personality that instantly puts her clients at ease."
"Oh my goodness I am a new woman! I can bend over without pain and pull my knees up to my chest to put my socks on. I can't remember the last time I could do that without pain! Thank you. Nicola"
"I have been suffering from back pain for 4 years after having children, I had one treatment session with Nicola and I feel like a new woman! I can bend over without pain and pull my knees up to my chest to put my socks on. I can't remember the last time I could do that without pain!"
"Shortly after giving birth; carrying a baby, lifting pushchairs/car seats in and out of my car etc , I suffered terrible lower back pain. I visited Nikki, she quickly and professionally assessed me and treated my immediate pain (and also the deep knots on my shoulders) Nikki gave me simple exercises to do at home to strengthen my back. I highly recommend her services."
"To Nicola
Thank you for all that you have done for me and my family.
Thank you for all your patience and kindness, all the years that I have been unwell, I have never had a physio that has listened to me and treated me with the gentleness and patience. You have given me confidence and lifted my spirit.
I will miss you very much and good luck with whatever you do in the future.
Lots of love Mrs. C and family"
I've been walking around with back pain for a few weeks, especially as I am a beauty therapist, one session with Nicola & I'm 90% better, miracle hands thank you so much.
I have used Nicola as my physiotherapist and not only is she super lovely but she does a great job!
Also highly recommend getting a mummy MOT. So important to know where your body is at after birth so you can work on it accordingly and not do further damage. I had 4/5 finger diastasis after my 3rd baby and I've manaaged to get it to 1.5 after 4 months 'work' which is considered normal. It's so doable when you know how to.
